Catholic Charities of Boston believes today’s decision by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to extend Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for six months to Haitians residing in the United States is a step in the right direction. With over 50,000 Haitian TPS recipients throughout the U.S.
BOSTON – May 18, 2017 – Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Boston hosted its annual Spring Celebration on Wednesday, May 17 at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum with Governor Charlie Baker, Cardinal Seán O’Malley, and other distinguished guests. The event drew nearly 500 guests and raised more than $1 million, funds that will provide basic needs resources such as food, utility and rental assistance to those in need, and support a wide range of educational programs for children and adults that provide paths to self-sufficiency.
