Boston, MA—Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Boston is pleased to announce that we will be participating in the 26th annual Rodman Ride for Kids on Saturday, September 24, 2016. Partnering with the Rodman Ride for Kids is important for our at risk youth programs as Rodman Ride for Kids donates a matching gift of five percent for every dollar we raise. With your participation as a biker or a sponsor, we aim to raise $300,000.
BOSTON – July 12, 2016 – Social services agency Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Boston (CCAB) today announced that current deputy director of South Boston’s Catholic Charities Labouré Center Jake Bombard has been named its new director effective July 12, 2016.
On June 30, 2016, John Hancock Non Profit Marathon Program, our partner in the Boston Marathon, along with Boston Athletic Association (BAA) announced that participants running on behalf of more than 200 non-profit organizations, including Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Boston, raised $30.6 million for charity this year in the 120th running of the Boston Marathon.
Recently, The Pilot, America's oldest Catholic newspaper, featured our collaboration with St. Julia's Parish of Weston. In celebration of the Jubilee Year of Mercy, the parishioners of St. Julia's wanted to engage and make difference that mattered. When they heard Catholic Charities' call for assistance on behalf of four families seeking asylum in the U.S., St. Julia's mobilized and delivered in ways Catholic Charities never anticipated.
