Join the Rodman Ride to Support Catholic Charities At-Risk Youth Programs

Tuesday, July 19, 2016

Boston, MACatholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Boston is pleased to announce that we will be participating in the 26th annual Rodman Ride for Kids on Saturday, September 24, 2016. Partnering with the Rodman Ride for Kids is important for our at risk youth programs as Rodman Ride for Kids donates a matching gift of five percent for every dollar we raise. With your participation as a biker or a sponsor, we aim to raise $300,000.

At Catholic Charities, we make families stronger by providing at risk youth with programs and services that help make them more be successful at school and at home. Our Teen Center at St. Peter’s in Dorchester, our Youth-Tutoring-Youth Program in South Boston and our Sunset Point Camp in Hull are just a few of the programs we offer at risk children and teens.

Bicycles, Bicycles, Bicycles, All Riders Welcome
The wonderful part about the Rodman Ride is that it is designed for bicycle enthusiasts of every level, including 100 miles; 50 miles and 25 miles. Whether you ride seriously with fellow cyclists weekly, use your bike to commute or enjoy the occasional weekend or vacation bike ride, the Rodman Ride for Kids is a great way to get back on the saddle solo or with friends to enjoy the best, most simple, beneficial pleasure there is—riding a bike.

On race day, the folks from Rodman Ride for Kids have thought of everything to ensure your comfort. Hundreds of volunteers will be on hand to get you to where you need to be. In addition, there will be water stops and snacks awaiting you upon your return, not to mention hundreds of fans cheering you along the way and at the finish line.

To register as a biker, visit catholic.kintera.org/2016. You may start a team, join a team or join as an individual. All the details you’ll need, including easy access for your raving fans to donate, along with easy-to-use online tools to create your own website and messages to your supporters as you train toward race day.
