Family Support Services

One commonality among all of Catholic Charities programs and services is the goal to strengthen and preserve families – single parent families, one income families, grandparents rearing grandchildren, children caring for aging parents. Some are strained by difficult situations and seek supportive services or advocacy. Others need to develop better parenting skills.

Many programs are targeted to specific groups and operate on an open referral basis. Our Healthy Families programs, which assist first-time parents age 20 and under, is just one that we offer to young parents. We also offer pregnancy counseling to discuss the option of adoption with birth parents. Our Fathers Support Services recognize the importance of fathers in the lives of their children and encourages them to be active participants.

Some of our services are restricted referral programs, but they provide important stabilization and support to families, especially those adapting to a new culture.
