Catholic Charities of Boston Celebrates Black History Month: Part 2

In honor of Black History Month, our colleagues from around Catholic Charities of Boston are sharing their reflections on iconic Black heroes from throughout history who inspire them.

Part 2 of our series features Larry Mayes, CCAB’s Vice President of Programs, who shares that  there isn’t one, but several Black heroes who inspire him, including Frederick Douglass, W.E.B DuBois, Cornel West, James Baldwin, Colin Powell, and Ella J. Baker. Larry reflects that he loves the "competing voices in his head," of these influential figures.
