In Part 5 of this series, Community Interpreter Services team member, Jeff  Burgess shares that he is a long-time astronomy fan and is inspired by women's contributions to space travel. He notes, "Nothing would please me more than if one of my three granddaughters became an astronaut."

Celebrating Valentine's Day at Brigid's Crossing

At Brigid's Crossing Shelter for Young Mothers in Lowell, our dedicated staff members love planning activities for the residents to enjoy. This week, the children living in the shelter were hard at work making Valentine's Day cards for their mothers. 

The mothers who live at Brigid's Crossing are hardworking, going to school and working jobs while learning parenting and independent living skills. We know that they will love these beautiful valentines from their children as we celebrate this weekend.

Highlight On: Community Champions

Hand-Knit Items for CCAB Clients

New England winters can be long and cold. Some of our most vulnerable community members do not have the appropriate clothing and cold-weather gear to keep them warm throughout these long months.  Thanks to some very generous community champions, residents at our St. Ambrose Family Shelter and our Refugee and Immigrant Services clients were recently given some beautiful, hand-knit items to help keep warm.
