Today (September 30) marks Father Phil Earley’s last day serving as General Counsel for Catholic Charities of Boston.
We are pleased to share that Marjean Perhot, director of Catholic Charities of Boston’s Refugee and Immigrant Services division, is a speaker at this year’s Catholic Immigrant Integration Initiative Virtual Conference, taking place later this week- October 1-2.
Marjean will participate in a panel discussion on ways that Catholic parishes, hospitals, refugee and legal service programs, charities and other institutions can rise to the immense challenges currently facing immigrants, refugees, their families and communities.
At Catholic Charities of Boston (CCAB), volunteers are essential to our work. From those who volunteer their time at one of our pantries or shelters, to those who deliver supplies and even those who help us spread information on social media, we are enormously grateful to each and every community member who helps us help others.
Members of St. Cecilia's Parish in the Back Bay of Boston have been volunteering with CCAB for over a decade, dedicating time each weekend to deliver food to our Yawkey Center food pantry and supporting us whenever and however they can.
This week, employees of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts visited our Sunset Point Camp in Hull as a part of the company's Service Week 2020. Nine volunteers helped beautify our outdoor basketball court by cleaning it up and painting. We're so thankful for the enthusiasm and commitment that they each brought to this volunteer project.
We are looking forward to bringing the 400+ children who visit Sunset Point Camp each year back to camp in Summer 2021 so that they can enjoy this beautiful space.
