Catholic Charities News
This Lenten season, we're asking you to join us in giving back instead of giving something up. Catholic Charities is honored to share messages from some of our community partners who find inspiration in the many ways our neighbors have given back to those most in need, particularly this past year.
Over the last year, the pandemic has forced everyone to give up so much. This Lent, instead of giving something up, join us in giving back.
The health and economic impacts of COVID-19 have been especially challenging for our most vulnerable community members, and now, more than ever, we need your support to help us help our neighbors in need gain access to life's basic necessities.
All month long, colleagues from around Catholic Charities of Boston shared their reflections on iconic Black heroes from throughout history who inspire them. We draw encouragement and motivation from their words and actions and are humbled to share our thoughts as we celebrate their achievements.
One year ago, we welcomed Sister Norma Pimentel and Mohamad Ali, two of the nation's strongest champions for immigrants, for our "This is My Community" speaker series event. In an enlightening panel discussion moderated by WBUR's Tiziana Dearing, Sister Norma and Mr. Ali addressed the faith, economic and humanitarian dimensions of the immigration issue.
