In the City of Boston and across the surrounding areas, many youth face an array of challenges, including gang violence, drugs, social issues and lack of access to basic needs.
Catholic Charities of Boston’s St. Ambrose Family Shelter in Dorchester is so much more than homeless shelter; the staff and volunteers are constantly developing new ways to support the residents who call the shelter home as well as those in need in the neighborhoods surrounding St. Ambrose.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis, Catholic Charities Labouré Center officially announces the cancellation of our Annual Labourè Center Spring Reception (originally scheduled for April and previously rescheduled to September 17, 2020). This decision was made in accordance with the State of Massachusetts’ restrictions on large gatherings.

An Update on Catholic Charities of Boston's Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide Training Program
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Catholic Charities' NA/HHA Training Program in South Boston will be a Hybrid Program this Fall. Intake, Registration and Testing will be done via Google Classroom and Zoom. Skills and Clinical will be in-person.
