Catholic Charities Celebrates Light the World Giving Machine Initiative at Fenway Park

Catholic Charities Boston was honored to be invited to a recent Boston Red Sox game by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to celebrate the agency’s ongoing partnership in their Light the World Giving Machines initiative.

A global initiative that continues to grow, the Light the World Giving Machines are vending machines that allow users to make critical donations to people in need, including Catholic Charities clients, from utilities assistance to winter coats to newborn care items. This year, the Giving Machines will once again be located at Cambridgeside Galleria and will open to the community on Tuesday December 3rd.

Vice President of Basic Needs, Beth Chambers, and Senior Director of Advancement, Jerry Smith, attended the Red Sox game on behalf of Catholic Charities, along with representatives from other partnering organizations, including the Transformational Prison Project and International Institute of New England.

Catholic Charities Boston is so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this vital initiative and make a difference for families in need this holiday season.
