South Boston Community Gives Back to Labouré Center

Across South Boston, the community has come together to help clients of the Labouré Center this holiday season. State Rep. David Biele delivered gifts to Labouré collected through his Toys for Toys drive, while longtime South Boston residents Jim Coveno and Jerry Tracy raised $3,000 in gift cards with the help of some generous dinner guests at their annual Seven Fishes dinner. Over $2,000 in gift cards were also donated by parishioners of St. Brigid-Gate of Heaven-St. Augustine for families in need.

“South Boston is an extraordinary community in so many ways, and this is particularly evident at this time of year,” said Maureen Murray, Catholic Charities Boston’s Manager of Special Events & Stewardship, Maureen Murray . “The Labouré Center is incredibly thankful.”
