Yawkey and Labouré Child Care Host Winter Wonderland, with Special Guest Reader President and CEO Kelley Tuthill
Children crafted “snow people” out of playdough, posed for Polaroids, and designed festive picture frames at Catholic Charities Boston’s Yawkey and Labouré Child Care Centers Winter Wonderland events this December before gathering round to listen The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats read by President and CEO Kelley Tuthill.
During the Winter Wonderland, parents also had an opportunity to learn about Boston Pre-K, previously known as universal Pre-K. Using the nationally acclaimed “Focus Curriculum,” a play-based curriculum focused on early literacy and whole-child development for children ages 3 and 4, the program is centered around strengthening early reading and math skills, as well as social-emotional growth, with activities that accommodate different learning styles. Both the Yawkey and Labouré Child Care Centers are participating in the program for 2025. To learn more, visit ccab.org/childcare.
