Collaborating to help clients facing food insecurity

Tuesday, May 25, 2021

When COVID-19 first began in March of 2020, Catholic Charities’ programs and services had to quickly pivot to continue serving our thousands of clients in need, while protecting the health and safety of clients, staff and volunteers.

While the year has brought with it many challenges, it also opened up the opportunity for more collaboration across our programs.

Our El Centro Adult Education program partnered with the Yawkey Center food pantry to ensure that all students have access to groceries. The students developed recipes using the pantry staples they received and started a blog series as a class project. We love collaboration across programs and the students’ creativity.
