COVID-19 Vaccinations Begin at Catholic Charities of Boston

Friday, February 12, 2021

Catholic Charities is pleased to announce that we have begun distributing COVID-19 vaccinations to our shelter and food pantry staff members, volunteers, and guests. It is a relief to know this rollout is underway, and we look forward to the day when we all have an opportunity to protect ourselves against this deadly virus.

We are incredibly grateful to our community partners for their efforts in coordinating the vaccine supply and distribution and our CCAB team members who have been working tirelessly to make this vaccine available. We will continue to advocate to get all our frontline workers vaccines as soon as possible following the state's rollout plans.

Vice President of Programs, Larry Mayes, shared "The pandemic has brought devastation to everyone, particularly to communities of color, so it is very important that we get vaccinated to demonstrate that it is safe to get the vaccine."

Below, check out photos of some of our staff members receiving their vaccines.
