February 25 is Digital Learning Day, a day to celebrate innovative teachers and advances in educational technology. At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic last March, CCAB's adult education classes had to pivot to remote learning. The instructors and students had to adapt to teaching and learning virtually.
For many of our students, virtual classes proved to be particularly challenging because of a lack of access to technology. Thanks to our generous partners at Tech Goes Home, an organization dedicated to addressing digital inequities, each of the students enrolled in our El Centro and Laboure adult education classes receives a ChromeBook to use for remote learning.
We are proud of our resilient and adaptable digital learners and instructors and are immensely grateful for the support of Tech Goes home in helping us support our students from afar. We look forward to teaching and learning in-person again soon!
