Catholic Charities Boston Receives Candid’s 2023 Platinum Seal of Transparency
Catholic Charities Boston is honored to have earned the 2023 Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid, previously known as GuideStar, the world’s largest source of nonprofit information. This honorable distinction demonstrates the Agency’s consistent dedication to providing donors with accurate and transparent information.
“Our partnership with our donors makes the work of Catholic Charities possible,” said Dave Whalen, Vice President of Advancement. “All of us are grateful for the faith our donors have shown in us and we are committed to being responsible stewards of their gifts. We are honored to have received the highest rating from the nation’s leading charity rating organization.”

GuideStar by Candid is a philanthropic research database that provides information on more than 2.7 million nonprofits. A nonprofit must earn each ascending seal – Bronze, Silver and Gold – before it can earn Platinum, the highest award available.
