In the Pilot: Catholic Charities Inn Provides Shelter and Support to Families Facing Housing Insecurity
Catholic Charities Boston was featured in a recent Pilot article about the impact of the Catholic Charities Inn (CCI), a temporary emergency shelter that the Agency opened in response to the critical housing crisis in Massachussetts. With 45 rooms, the CCI is already operating at full capacity, serving 44 families, many who are newly-arrived migrants and many with young children.
“As an agency, we will continue to do everything we can to support those who are affected by the housing shortage first-hand,” said Beth Chambers, vice president of Basic Needs. “These families not only need shelter, but they also need medical resources, information about the school system, guidance on the process of seeking employment, and a support system they can rely on.”
