“Knitting with a Purpose” Gives a Warm Welcome to Refugees

The MetroWest Daily News featured a local volunteer group that recently connected with Catholic Charities of Boston to make knitted donations for refugees arriving in the Greater Boston area.

Called “Knitting with a Purpose”, the group came together in the fall to meet monthly on zoom and work on custom-made winter clothing.

Stated Marjean Perhot, Vice President of Refugee & Immigrant Services, “We’ve found that it means a lot, especially because of the dignity of something brand new for people that have lost so much.”
