2019 Menino Foundation Toy Drive

Friday, December 27, 2019

On Christmas Eve, Catholic Charities was honored to partner with Team Menino, the family of late Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino, to distribute thousands of gifts to families in need at our Teen Center at St. Peter's in the Bowdoin-Geneva section of Dorchester.

Joined by Cardinal Sean O'Malley, Boston Police Commissioner William Gross and Mayor Marty Walsh, volunteers helped to distribute bikes and other toys and essentials for Christmas to local families. The Menino family started this toy drive 26 years ago, and we are happy to continue supporting this tradition to provide for our neighbors in need.
