Wednesday, April 1 is Census Day. The US Census is immensely important for communities to receive funding to help the most vulnerable in the area. Funding that is determined by the Census includes health care (Medicare and Medicaid), public education, food and nutrition programs, affordable housing and child care for low-income families. By participating in the Census, you help the City of Boston by increasing data accuracy, federal funding and representation for programs that impact us all.
We ask that you please participate in the 2020 Census-- it's never been easier. You can respond to the online (my2020census.gov) or over the phone in 13 different languages, or by mail.
Everybody should be counted, because everybody counts. Whether you were born here or just arrived, no matter how old you are or where you live, you count in our democracy and we need to ensure that you and all members of your household are counted in the Census.
