In light of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Catholic Charities Refugee & Immigrant Services team is leading the Agency’s response to serving Ukrainians fleeing the war in their homeland.
Support Information for Ukraine Arrivals
Catholic Charities is not eligible to serve as a sponsor. For individuals who wish to sponsor family or friends living in Ukraine, please visit the federal government website https://www.dhs.gov/ukraine or “Uniting for Ukraine” for the requirements to become a sponsor.
For community organizations that would like to explore becoming a sponsor, please see below in our “Ways to Help” section.
There are many scams, so we encourage you to only obtain information from sites like https://welcome.us or sites from the US government that end in “.gov”
We are happy to assess the eligibility for support for individuals who have already arrived in the United States and are in need of cash assistance or benefits. Please email UKRsupport@ccab.org and include your name, a phone number, and a short description of what you need.
Catholic Charities operates five food pantries across Eastern Massachusetts and provides free adult education and English classes for individuals who wish to learn English as a second language. To learn more, please visit our Basic Needs and Adult Education pages.

Catholic Charities works with a number of volunteer community sites (including churches, synagogues, mosques, cities) that assist with the sponsorship of refugees. For information on how your group can become a sponsor, please email Phil D’Agati at philip_dagati@ccab.org or call 617-388-5479.
For people who would like to volunteer their time or offer housing/shelter to help Ukrainian refugees, please email Holly Clark, director of volunteer services, at holly_clark@ccab.org.
We are unfortunately unable to accept any furniture/household donations at this time.
We are in urgent need of Ukrainian interpreters. Please email us cis_request@ccab.org and a member of Community Interpreter Services team will share more information about how to be an interpreter with us.
