Massachusetts’ New Eviction Aversion Initiative

At the heart of Catholic Charities of Boston is a goal of providing our community members in need with life’s basic necessities- including living assistance.  Every day, our basic needs division helps individuals and families with rent, mortgage, heat and other emergency utility assistance.  Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March, demand for our services has continued to increase as the community faces the lasting economic impacts of this health crisis.

We also connect our clients and neighbors with additional community resources. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts recently announced a new Eviction Aversion Initiative to help individuals and families as the eviction moratorium expires.
